Meet the Team

Kristie Campbell – Chairside Dental Assistant

Kristie has been a member of Dr. Mullens’ team for eight years, assisting in all aspects of patient treatment as our lead dental assistant. She enjoys interacting with patients and ensuring them the highest quality of care and respect. Getting to know new patients is exciting, and they always have fun new stories to tell. Together, Kristie and her husband, Scott, have two english springer dogs, Lance and Chelsea. When not in the office, Kristie loves fishing, boating, and rooting for the Florida Gators.

Sheri Chavers – Patient Coordinator

As a patient coordinator for the Mullens Team for six years, Sheri supports the entire clinical team, and she really keeps it all together. She keeps the sterilization area immaculate, tracks and orders our clinical supplies, and makes every patient feel welcome by offering a comforting hand and a smile. The entire team is like a family, and she gets excited to come to work every day. Sheri has two children, Kelly and Rusty, with her husband, Russell. She has been blessed with two wonderful grandchildren with whom she spends as much time as possible. During her leisure time, Sheri can be found reading, going to the movies, or volunteering for church activities.

Lisa Gardner – Dental Hygienist

Five of Lisa’s fourteen years in dentistry have been as a hygienist for our team. She provides care for patients, preventive maintenance treatment, and education on proper dental care. With her easy smile and infectious laughter, everyone in the office has a good time. She takes the time to get to know patients on a personal level so that they know she truly cares for them. Outside the office, Lisa loves spending time with her husband, Charlie, and their children, Jackson, Avery, and Lisa. She loves taking pictures of them and scrapbooking.

Kay Jacobson – Dental Hygienist

Kay has provided excellent continuing care for our patients for 14 years. She sees patients throughout their treatment and offers oral hygiene instruction so that patients can better understand how to care for their teeth. Kay enjoys the time she gets to spend with patients, and they can’t wait to see her as well. She always takes extra time to catch up with patients during appointments. In her spare time, Kay enjoys musicals, movies, and scrapbooking.

Leisa McKendree – Treatment Coordinator

With over twenty-nine years of dental experience, six of which have been in our office, Leisa has been involved in all aspects of dentistry. Right now, she coordinates and schedules treatments as well as coordinating treatment plans. She enjoys working with patients to build the best treatment plan for their unique needs while also preparing financial arrangements that benefit our patients. Leisa’s husband of 27 years, Mike, and she have three children and a wonderful grandson. She is committed to spending time with her family and her church community. She relaxes by reading or cooking.

Meghan Nystrand – Chairside Dental Assistant

Meghan works side-by-side with Dr. Mullens, providing excellent patient care during treatment. She has been a vital part of the team since finishing school. She takes pride in providing comfortable care and understanding patient needs. Meghan has a full house with her husband, two sons, a step-daughter, and a menagerie of animals, including a cat, a lizard, and seven fish!

Lisa Vaughn – Administrative Coordinator

Lisa is the first smiling team member patients meet when they come into the office. She is a whiz with insurance companies and also acts as our continuing care coordinator for patients. As a team member for thirteen years, she is an invaluable member of the team, and our patients love seeing her. When she is not in the office, she spends her time shopping, seeing movies, reading, and spending quality time with her loving family.
